Travel advisories & entry requirements
General guidance to help you prepare your documents before you travel.
Last updated: June 2026
Before you fly
A little preparation goes a long way. Before your departure date, check that your travel documents are in order:
- Passport validity. Many destinations require your passport to be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended date of arrival.
- Visas and permits. Depending on your nationality and destination, you may need a visa, transit visa, or electronic travel authorisation arranged in advance.
- Onward and return tickets. Some countries ask to see proof of onward travel or sufficient funds on entry.
Entry requirements by region
Requirements vary widely and change often. The notes below are general orientation only — always confirm with official government sources for your specific route and nationality.
Philippines (domestic)
For domestic flights within the Philippines, a valid government-issued photo ID is normally sufficient. Some local destinations may have their own arrival registration or environmental fees.
Asia-Pacific
Many regional destinations offer visa-free entry or visa-on-arrival for short stays, while others require an e-visa applied for in advance. Check stay limits and any health or arrival-card requirements.
Long-haul
Long-haul travel often involves stricter passport validity rules, advance visa applications, and transit requirements at connecting airports. Allow extra time to arrange documents.
Health & safety
Some destinations recommend or require certain vaccinations or health declarations. Consult your doctor or a travel-health clinic well ahead of your trip, and review official advisories for any safety or weather conditions that may affect your journey.
